From Self-Taught to Award-Winning Videographer

With over 16 years of experience in video production, I built my career from the ground up—starting with just a camera, a microphone, and a willingness to take on any opportunity to grow. Without formal training in video production or communications, I developed my skills through hands-on experience, volunteering for projects, and consistently delivering high-quality work.

Over the years, I served in roles including Video Production Specialist, Media Production Specialist, Media Production Manager, and Communications Manager. A significant portion of my career was spent with a local access television broadcast in South Florida, where I produced and managed a wide range of community-focused content.

I concluded my time there earning industry recognition, including 2 Telly Awards, 8 Academy of the Visual Arts Communicator Awards, 2 W3 Awards, along with multiple local and regional honors. My journey reflects a commitment to growth, persistence, and the power of real-world experience in building a successful career in media.

That journey is proof that there’s another way—and now, I teach aspiring creators how to build real videography skills, tell meaningful stories, and create a career without needing a traditional degree.
